Project Lead Internet Policy and Governance

Christian leads the research group Internet Policy and Governance at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society in Berlin. His research addresses the intersection of technology, communication, and governance. He is a co-initiator of the open access journal Internet Policy Review (http://policyreview.info/) and lead of the research project Circulation of Cultural Goods (http://www.hiig.de/en/project/zirkulation-von-kulturgutern).  His talk on cloning and innovation in the games sector draws from an onjoing case study that investigates how developers and producers in the German games sector handle the fine line between innovation and imitation in their daily practice. Christian studied media and communication studies, philosophy and computer science in Berlin, Madrid and Potsdam.
